A MESSAGE FROM THE 2017 - 2019 PRESIDENT

On behalf of the members of the Lake Charles Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD) and the Lake Charles Chapter of Top Teens of America (TTA), thank you for visiting our website. Since 1974, our chapter has been serving "youth and adults" through exemplary programming to Southwest Louisiana and the surrounding areas under five major thrusts: Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Beautification, Community Partnerships and Top Teens of America (TTA).
TLOD advocates for several national programs such as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA), NAACP, and nationally, TLOD affiliates with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), and the Black Women's Agenda (BWA). Key partnerships for TLOD are with AARP, Keep America Beautiful, and other organizations to bring attention to issues such as caregiving, breast cancer, recycling, unemployment, and literacy awareness just to name a few.
Locally, the Lake Charles Chapter has also partnered with Southwest Louisiana Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation, the Literacy Council of Southwest Louisiana, the Business and Career Solutions Center, Oasis Safe Haven for Women, Black Heritage Festival, McNeese State University NAACP Chapter, and various local churches, sororities, and individuals to assist in carrying out the goals and missions of TLOD.
This site will provide more insight into who we are and the impact that our service makes in the community. You will also be able to keep up with our events and learn how you can participate, donate, and support our efforts. As we reflect on the 43 years of service to Southwest Louisiana, we thank you for your support and we hope to see you during our journey through service. Please continue to visit our website often.
Serving with Purpose, Unity & Love,

Lady Raven Williams
